Nice scale -- a lot of "bang for the buck"! (Rating: 4.00)
Review : I bought this scale to use for weighing and calculating postage for packages. I certainly use it for that, but it has ended up in the kitchen because it's so accurate (down to tenths of an ounce) that my spouse likes to use it to weigh food, too. The scale's capabilities are pretty impressive -- it not only gives accurate weights up to 10# (a lot of competing scales only go up to 5#), but performs tare weights and calculates actual postage for many different types of USPS postage (1st Class, Express, Parcel Post, etc). You can update the scale's postal rate calculations for free at any time (via a PC connected to the Internet). PLUS (according to the manufacturer), a new update over the Internet will *also* upgrade the scale to include Media Mail rates. This scale seems great for home and small office use, but since its outer construction is heavy plastic (not metal), it might not be durable enough for heavy-duty "industrial" use. Overall, a lot of "bang for the buck"!
