Review : These days, force feedback is very commonly built into modern controllers. This wasn't so in the Nintendo 64's era. Accordingly, Nintendo created an external device that hooked into the controller. Read on to see why the Rumble Pak is loved by some and hated by others.PROS:
-Force feedback in your Nintendo 64 games
-Most games on the system support it
-You can put in in or out of the controller at your will. In many ways this it more convenient that having to go to an options menu in a modern game
-Available in multiple colors, unlike the official Nintendo one CONS:
-NOT compatible with all games. In Japan, many games were rereleased with the compatibility. That never happened here. That bites
-It requires batteries. And as you know, batteries don't last forever
-It makes the controller heavier
-You can't have both it and a controller pak in your controller at the same time
-Makes more noise than the official one
-The light is more a distraction than anything else Overall this is an excellent accessory for a system that is now deceased. They are also relatively inexpensive, due to the system's decline. If you've got an N64, these are a must have.
