Worth the Money (Rating: 4.00)
Review : I was skeptical of these gloves when they arrived. They seemed so thin. But after about one month of everyday use, I'm very pleased.

I was tired of getting sore hands from my generic leather gloves. They seem to have lumps and bumps that irritate my hands. So I decided to try the Ironclad.

I have used them for all of these tasks: moving lumber, handling and splitting firewood, handling barbwire (didn't get poked in the palms, just lucky?), digging and just general use to protect my hands. I even wore them while using my digital camera.

The dexterity is excellent. I have been able to pick up and hold nails and screws with the gloves on.

I wear the gloves more because of the great dexterity. The regular leather gloves have to come off to do most small tasks, while the Ironclad can be worn most of the time.

The gloves don't so any signs of wear, so far. The only thing they don't offer is wrist protection. They're short and not good for wet work. That's why I gave them four stars, instead of five. But they are easy to carry in your pocket.

Two days ago I was handling firewood (without the gloves) and got a big splinter in my thumb. I'll never do that again...

dont let the weekend warior decive you (Rating: 5.00)
Review : I bought these gloves a week or two ago and have worn them 6 days a week, for roughly 4 to 9 hours a day and I have not had a singe problem with them yet (except for my friends stealing them from me because they haven't had the chance to go and get their own pair yet). It seems to me after reading several other reviews that the people who complain about these gloves are not using them for their recommended purpose. Ironclad's design philosophy is to make highly task specific gloves (to get more information on what task these and other Ironclad gloves are specified for go to the iron clad website, iclad.com) These Gloves are not for gardening, the company says so, so why buy them for that? of course they will not work as well.
A friend of mine bought a pair of ironclad gloves and used them for 5 years without any problems, and then bought himself another pair recently.
It seems to me, that these gloves are aware of their owners intended usage, and self destruct if it is something lighter duty then they are designed for (i.e. landscaping or the weekend warrior) these gloves are not for the weekend warrior, they are for anything from rigging to carpentry to light demolition to law enforcement and everything in between (and gardening is not included in that spectrum)

VERY DISAPPOINTED (Rating: 1.00)
Review : These gloves are comfortable to wear, however
the leather separated and disintegrated on the middle
fingers on the SECOND USE. These are NOT heavy duty gloves
as advertised. Not even light duty gloves. Very disappointed.

Comfort is Key! (Rating: 4.00)
Review : I have been a cabinet maker for over 20 years now - and I have yet to come across a pair of gloves that EVEN COMES CLOSE to the fit and quality offered in Ironclad's Heavy Utility. The fit is beyond awesome - giving me the ability to handle the samllest nails and take any type of measurement. The durability of the gloves is great too - the pair I am currently using has lasted me over SIX MONTHS!

Fits like a glove! (Rating: 4.00)
Review : I was the first to try these gloves out now everyone in our crew uses them and now so does the loading dock/mail room. We don't do any really heavey construction so for us they work out well. Even the terry cloth on the top side of the thumb comes in handy to wipe the sweat from the brow. My first 2 pairs fit fine and were great. My 3rd pair had some glue on the inside holding down the thread which rubbed against my palm and was quite bothersome but it wore and before long I didn't even notice it. I have used these for minor construction to working on equipment with small screws. Even if your hands get soaking wet the gloves still fit well where a full leather glove has a tendacy to stretch and want to fall off. I am ordering 10 more pairs right now!

Heavy duty Ironclad gloves (Rating: 5.00)
Review : As a landscape contractor, my gloves are an essential tool. I generally go through about a dozen pairs of leather driver type a year. I'm extremely hard on the forefinger and palm. I tried an Ironclad 'heavy duty' pair and they lasted about a year of heavy use. I still wore out the forefinger (tip and about 3 holes down the finger) but overall the glove was very good. It was comfortable and protected my hands well. The re-enforsed fingertips are good for using my hands in the soil. The velcro wristband held it on securely and the added protection sewn in seems to be in the right places. The only drawback is, these gloves offer no protection from the cold at all, but for a heavy work situation, I reccommmend this product highly. I intend to buy another couple of pairs and perhaps the cold weather version as well.
