Sports Fun At Its Portable Best (Rating: 0.00)
Review : Sports games have usually been problematic on portable gaming systems, given the weak processors and small screens of such systems. On top of that, you have desktop PCs and standard consoles delivering sports action that looks increasingly like the real thing, making a portable sports game seem pretty pathetic. This game takes advantage of the Neo Geo's 16 bit processor and great screen to deliver a very fun and wacky sports experience. The graphics are bright and the players big, though the small screen means you can't see too much of the field, and you don't get to pick a camera angle. Where the game delivers absolute enjoyment is in the Neo Geo Cup mode, where you can play international tournaments, and with money gained from winning matches, buy items that improve the abilities of your team. Additionally, goofy characters show up to offer you items for a price (or sometimes try to steal what you have!). You can get fan mail if you're doing well, and at times you have to motivate your team with a pep talk. Winning the first tournament isn't too hard with some practice, but succeeding tournaments ramp up the difficulty and aren't easy to win without the right items. The action is intense, and focuses a lot on individual contests for the ball -- passing is a little difficult because you see so little of the field. But discussing specific facets of the game doesn't do justice to just how much fun this game is -- I've logged dozens of hours while traveling playing this game, it's just so much fun, and the constant quest to gather that latest item that propels your team to the top is addictive. This and Metal Slug are among the must haves for the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

Review : THis game is fun at first, but when you play it a long time it gets boring. The contols are easy, but it is hard to pass and score. i wouldn't recommed this for a older child but for younger children it would be fun

Great Handheld for all Soccer Fans (Rating: 5.00)
Review : NeoGeo Cup '98 is a great handheld game that I think all soccer fans would enjoy. You compete as one of 16 teams, each with their own special attributes, for the NeoGeo Cup and prize money. The better you do, the more money you win. Between games you can vist the soccer shop to buy items to outfit your team with. Want your goalie to be a wall? Then buy him a new shirt that increases his jumping skills. The possibilities are endless as you upgrade your players with up to two items apeice. Before long your team will be a juggernaut, and hopefully celebrating victory in the NeoGeo Cup. Enjoy!
