Great buy for the price.. (Rating: ) Review : This player is fine for viewing on a HDTV. 480p is the standard for dvd signal and with progressive scan just enhances the picture so it looks better.With Component out and digital out this is a great buy. The claim that there is NO such player that can produce a HDTV picture from a dvd player is WRONG. If you want to spend alot more cash you can purchase the Toshiba Progressive Scan DVD Player with HDMI™ Upconversion . Broke after 1 time use (Rating: 1.00) Review : I got this dvd player for my mother as a Christmas gift. She played one movie on it, and after that, it never worked again. Completely dead. I will be returning it for another make and model. Stay away!!! Perfect, Slim, Design (Rating: 5.00) Review : I totally disagree with the other comments made about this DVD player. The cost of it was effective as well as the sleek, modern design. It was easy as 1-2-3 to hook up to my Samsung flat-screen TV. And my daughter watched one of her DVD's with ease the very first day it was hooked up!!! And not to mention the picture came up beautifully. Locks up on mp3 discs (Rating: 2.00) Review : I bought this player from Best Buy. I tested DVDs, CDs, music CD-Rs, and mp3 CD-Rs. All worked fine initially. Two days later preparing for a Christmas Party, the player locked up after inserting the mp3 CD-Rs. The player normally shows a screen where you can see the folders and files. It locked on the background for this screen. I had to disconnet the power cord to the unit, and re-connect in order to retrieve the disc. The other types of media still play fine. I will be returning the unit for a different model/brand. a decent dvd player (Rating: 5.00) Review : Everything works fine. Reasonable price. Nice design. I think it's a good product. |
