DeWalt DW723 Miter Saw Stand (Rating: 5.00) Review : Great product, far better than the old Dewalt stand that this replaces, and any other stand on the market for that matter. Super heavy duty with nice slide extensions on both sides of stand. Loaded with features and extremely well made. Mine arrived damaged as the item is heavy and the carton is not designed for UPS type shipping. Single wall box with no padding or reinforcement. Called DeWalt directly and they wanted me to return the whole item for replacement. I explained my concerns about the box and was fearful the replacement would arrive damaged as well. DeWalt confirmed concerns about shipping this product and acknowledged other problems with damage during shipping and agreed to send only the damaged piece for me to replace. DeWalt also offered to send me a 12" blade for my saw for the "trouble" with this item. I did not ask or expect this nor was I upset when I called, this was purely a customer service gesture. DeWalt is a first class company and makes first class products, you will not be dissapointed with this item. Great for the Homeowner Too !!! (Rating: 5.00) Review : I'm an advanced DIY'er homeowner, and I needed a stand to go with my DW708 mitre saw. I just got tired of using makeshift supports for long boards and the extension arms are well designed and work great. When I rec'd the stand, it was dinged up pretty good in the main spine section and on a leg. I needed to call DeWalt directly. In about a week, I had the replacement parts in my hands. All in all, I was very pleased with the service and the stand. Homeowner (Rating: 5.00) Review : Even though this was a more expensive stand than others I had looked at, it was well worth it. The unit is compact and easy to use, plus it is very stable. Cheaper units at $100 were awkward and difficult to transport. The permanent "feet" that attach to the saw makes attaching the saw to the stand both quick and simple, plus the "feet" allow the saw to sit nicely on my work bench and not slide around as it did before. My only complaint was some minor cosmetic damage due to inadequate packaging of the unit for shipping. Great piece of equipment (Rating: 5.00) Review : I have used this stand while installing crown molding in my house. It is very stable, lightweight and stores easily once the legs are folded. Luckily, I purchased a Dewalt mitre saw so I didn't experience the problems noted by other reviewers about the rails not fitting the saw base. Once the saw is mounted to the rails, set up is a snap and the saw really stays in place. I am looking forward to using this stand and saw combo for a long time. I might take the advice of a previous reviewer and see if I can construct some rails for easily mounting my table saw to this stand. |
