Very nice. (Rating: 4.00) Review : I recently purchased the JVC HAG11 headphones, and my initial impression is favorable. They are very lightweight and comfortable. The listing is inaccurate as they have 30-mm driver, not 40. I am not an audiophile, but for me the sound quality is very good. They do a good job at blocking/diminishing outside noise. Even though they are listed mainly for indoor home stereo use, I wanted a portable full size over the ears headphones mainly to use with my laptop. I cannot sleep on a plane, and would usually listen to windows media player (version 9 is great), play quick games (solitaire, pinball, snood, etc..), or just watch a DVD. I debated between these, Sennheiser, Koss and Maxell, and decided to go with the JVC name. I like the single cord which seems sturdy, but I am not sure how durable they will be. I do not anticipate heavy usage, but so far no regrets specially for the price (I will not lose sleep over fifteen bucks if eventually they fail, hopefully after the one year warranty). I would recommend if you want a nice set of headphones at a reasonable price. (Rating: 3.00) Review : Well all I can say is that I thought I was getting a deal but I was wrong, these headphones look and feel great. The sound is another issue though. It's a pretty hollow sound. The bass crackles and treble is low. I should have waited and got some Koss heaphones or something. The other reviews are pretty correct (the one about the bass cracking is dead on!) Consider something besides these wanna be's. In the house, not out (Rating: 4.00) Review : First off let me tell you that these are great for inside your house hooked up to something like a stereo but on the road they need alot of power to have clear, crisp sound otherwise most portable CD players do not produce enough power for you to have the volume any higher than a whisper. But when used inside these are great value for money headphones and have excellent bass and the treble is acceptable. The sound is extremly clear and crisp but will deteriate with use. The cord is also a very good length. One of the down sides is after much use of high level sound and bass the quality of the sound deteriates and there is a slight crackling noise which is ok once you get used to it. But overall these are great headphones and i beleive this is a good buy for your money. |
