What a Blast! (Rating: )
Review : This game is awesome! My husband and I aren't real big on board games, so when my Brother brought this game over on my Husbands B-day we both were thinking.."ugh" lol.. But we ended up playing 3 times! (Would have played more but it was late)
Key to world, if not family, peace (Rating: 5.00)
Review : Before owning Cranium my favorite board game was Pictionary, which led to no small dillema--no one would ever play it with me because, quite simply, I would wipe the board with them. Ego trip? Yes. Family fun and togetherness? No. And so as not to cast my friends and family souly in the role of Sore Loser let me add that you wouldn't catch me dead playing Trivial Pursuit against my brainy brother. And then it happened--Cranium, the game that evened the playing field, the game that, as it states on the box, uses all areas of the brain. By combining areas of logic, trivia, creativity, and, well, making a fool of yourself Cranium leaves no one out, not even your friend who couldn't spell "Tuesday" if his life depended on it, much less spell it backwards. And you'll be laughing so hard as you watch Uncle Ned pantomome Madonna you won't even notice his team just took the lead. Great for parties and family get-togethers, this game sends everyone home happy, which is saying a lot from my crowd. Note: The grape-scented Cranium Clay is an added bonus for its Dimetap nostalgia appeal
Hilarious way for teens and adults to spend time together (Rating: 5.00)
Review : I bought this game based on the other reviews, hoping it would be a fun way for my visiting sister and brother-in-law to get reacquainted with 2 nephews and 2 nieces (ages 14-19). We spent an entire evening playing, and have never laughed so hard! My sister and I had tears running down our faces, and the "kids" kept begging to play again. We have a true mix of left- and right-brainers in our family, and this was the first game we've ever played that EVERYONE liked equally (and we have tried them all!). After a few questions, the brainiacs wanted to try the artsy stuff, and vice versa, because the game is so low-pressure and FUN. Forget the comments about difficult set-up, hard-to-follow instructions -- nothing could be further from the truth. It took no time at all to figure out how to play, and -- DUH! -- you don't have to keep rereading the same instructions over and over just because they are printed on each card (of the same category)! And the people who want "harder" questions are missing the point...with Cranium, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game -- and how much fun you have playing it!
too predictable (Rating: 5.00)
Review : I have played this game several times with a family of friends, and the same people always win. The skills necessary to keep playing are not different enough, and there is not enough chance involved. It is a relief when the game is over, which, as another reviewer has indicated, is a Bad Sign. "Wise and Otherwise" is much more entertaining.
laugh,laugh, laugh (Rating: 4.00)
Review : I borrowed this game from a friend. We played it with a mixed age group...15 to 50. It was so much fun that four of the people playing went out and bought it the next day. Two of them being adults and two of them teenagers. We plan on getting together twice a month to play. I recommend this for bigger groups. We usually have about 12 playing. We are looking forward to our next game.
Fun for everyone! (Rating: 5.00)
Review : This is one of the most fun games I have ever played. It has a little of something for everyone, so everyone can enjoy it. People who enjoy art will love sculpting with the clay and drawing, hams will love playing charades and humming tunes, technical people will like answering mind bending trivia questions, and the word problems might stump even the most seasoned language lovers. This game is most fun when you have a lot of people to play with, making it a great pick for a party or holiday get together. It's definitely worth the price and you're guaranteed to have hours of fun with it!
Something for everyone! (Rating: 5.00)
Review : Which game should you play at your next party or family gathering? Some people are good at Pictionary, others love charades, your sister shines at Name-That-Tune, and your best friend loves Trivial Pursuit. By playing Cranium, you can make everyone happy! The 4 decks of cards are a wonderful mix of things to do. Words to unscramble, trivia questions, things to draw (even with your eyes closed! ), spelling, acting, and modeling clay are all included in this fun new game! Our family of 5 just finished playing it tonight and my acting like a lava lamp had us all rolling on the floor laughing. This is a great game for everyone! I buy one family game each Christmas and I know we'll be enjoying this one for years to come. I also purchased the Booster Box at the same time, after reading all the great reviews the game got here in Amazon! I'm sure we'll need those new cards eventually!
