The World Conquest Game
In this classic game of military strategy, you will lead your armies as they sweep across vast continents to launch daring attacks against your enemies. But keep an eye on your flanks: your opponents are fighting to capture your troops and claim your territories. Reinforce your armies with additional infantry, cavalry and artillery, then attack with a throw of the dice. Now fortify your positions and prepare to defend your borders from rivals' attacks. Capture all 42 territories - and you conquer the world! Are you up to the challenge? Then embark on the classic Risk game of World Domination. For more challenge, use the rules variations for experts. And for a shorter variation, try the Capital Risk game. For the first time, Risk includes the European game variation called Secret Mission Risk, whose special cards give each player a specific "mission" to complete to win the game. So join the battle to conquer the world... and learn why, since 1959, millions of players have made Risk the military strategy game of choice. For 2 to 6 players. simplistic war game more fun for younger players (Rating: 3.00)
Review : Risk is a rudimentary war game heavily based on dice rolls and card drawing that pits would-be tyrants in a battle for world domination. Despite the various fancy new packaging designs that have come out in recent years, Risk remains at heart the same game it always was, involving vast hordes of little plastic pieces sweeping back and forth across across continents. Risk can be a lot of fun the first few times you play it and is an especially good buy for younger players because it is a game that fosters creative and strategic thinking, yet has rules simple enough for kids to master. However, for older players who are looking for in-depth strategy, this game might not be the best choice because it gets old quickly, is too dependent on the luck of the dice, and is especially prone to stalemates that can drag out for hours. If you are looking for similar games that will really challenge your strategic genius, I would suggest Axis and Alles or Samurai Swords.

In my opinion, the education value of Risk is minimal because the gameplay is very abstract and the geegraphical regions are not named very accurately.

The turn around game! (Rating: 5.00)
Review : This game is definitley got some surprises in it. One part of the game you are controlling 4 continents the next turn you have a few scattered countries. Risk is totally strategic. When I play manual with friends I always try to monopolize Europe with countries around it. Then I can get bonuses and a strong quick defense. This is one of only millions of strategies. The game has endless possibilities. Have you ever been fighting a country with infinite amounts of armies on that one location? I have and let me tell you it gets old... pretty quickly too just sitting and constantly rolling dice for hours on end it seems. That is the one down point to the game. I do think that this game not only serves up great game play, but it is easy to get into. In a game I was playing with my brother, my friend, and my friend's dad, my friend's dad was pulling off some amazing rolls. (like one guy defending against 6 armies.) It is so fun and the game can turn around so easily with the cards. I once got to trade a book in and then retrieved around 40 armies and then killed a guy completely, took his cards, and traded another book in. Yes... once you start to win you can win the game in one turn. It is the game of strategy and war! Get this game to add to your home collection!

A fun adivtive game (Rating: 0.00)
Review : I love playing this game expecaly when theres teams cause i like the fact that you have your ouwn country and army and try to take over more until all your opponnts are dead and you are the victor.

risk (Rating: 0.00)
Review : ok, first off im 16. When i first heard about risk i thought it would be pretty fun. well, risk is a fun game but there is to much luck involved. for example an army of 2 soliders can take out an army of 10 soliders with rolling the right numbers.it is a pretty easy strategy game to learnbut it gests very old easily and you can end up angry beacause you got terribel dice rolls and your friends got better rolls.its educational because it teaches some strategy. and the durability you can loose the pieces. if you want a real fun strategy game then get axis and allies which will sure give you a good time

Good beginner set for wargaming. (Rating: 5.00)
Review : Risk has been played by myself for over 30 years. It is a game that you can invite your children, grandchildren, friends, etc. to play and to enjoy. It is my nefarious plan to attempt to find a few gems to like this game so much that they'll want more...then move on to more complicated games like "Axis and Allies" or "Russian Front".. maybe even Kremlin!

If you're looking for a simple introduction to wargaming, I invite you over to my home in Lincoln Nebraska for a game... maybe you'll like it so much, you'll want more...

Keep in mind that, even without the wargaming aspect of this game, it is fun, exciting, and more than a little frustrating to play.. but well worthwhile the time it takes to (as we try everyday) TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

ok (Rating: 0.00)
Review : when i first heard about this game i expected a lot more than it gave.my friends told me this game was good and they werent lyin there.its fun even though its missing core strategy and is focused around luck.4 example my cousin usually rolls sixes on his dice while i roll 4s so im afraid of attacking him. i do like that there are many variations of the game so if u get bored of playin it 1 way try another and u might like it betta.if u like strategy games and wars theres no reason u shouldnt get this.but word of advice:only buy this game if u have spare time during the week and enjoy making diplomacies.(even though its hard to in this game.)hope i helped u in makin the right decision.if you like this game and have a big budget,i would highly reccomend buying risk 2210a.d.

A Great Way To Spend Your Time On A Rainy Day! (Rating: 5.00)
Review : This game has more than once helped transcend the boredom of a rainy day, putting you on the path for world conquest! Not really all that fun unless you have at least 3 players, but once you do be prepared for a game that could take you all day to finish. Using strategy and the luck of the dice you must try to conquer the world, using little plastic pieces! That's right, no one is actually hurt in this game! Attack or defend, reinforce or (depending on how you play) retreat. This has all the elements of a war on paper, the strategy and gameplay can get extremely intense. A good diversion for you hardcore chess players! If you ever need a game to get you and your family through a boring, rainy day you might want to pick this game up the next time you go to your local toy store or heck, buy it from Amazon!
