BAD! (Rating: 1.00) Review : I've heard of 1 step forward and 2 steps back.. but three steps back? They crippled any sort of stragedy in the game. it became highest attack points and the race for divine monsters. Everytime I see those "suppeior" "inferior" circles I cringe.. Explain to me how a 300 attack points fire monster can crush my perfectly ultimate moth? that is over 11 times as powerful. Back to the finesse thing. The "special" option you have ot click with cards, sometimes you place the card out to hold onto, like a cyberjar. I've kept it out for 3 rounds so I could place down witch of the black forst and Sangan's to maximize the number of cards. In this game that couldn't even work since I couldn't do it in one turn. Then there is the fusion method again, I want to use the card. This fusion by placing them ontop of one another is stupid, hald the time you waste a monster by making a false fusion. Then the Card limit again, 5 cards.. what happens if I wanted to hold onto all 5 cards and work with what else I get. Don't buy it people. The previous games are alot better. The only redeaming feature at all was being able to walk around and having a story line. Besides that, it isn't worth the 2 hours it takes to beat it or the anoyance when you find all of your favorite effect monsters have been messed up royally. The Sacred Cards (Rating: 0.00) Review : I was looking for a great Yu-gi-oh game and this was it. It has many pros and few cons. Pros: 1)You can walk around battle city 2)Dueling rules based on the card game 3)Cards from the official card game 4)You can enter to codes on the lower left hand corner of real cards to use them in the game 5)Cards from the show that aren't in the official card game (brain control, Magician of Black Chaos, etc.) 6)Cards that were released after Sacred Cards came out. 7)A good plot 8)You can use two of the three god cards! Cons: 1)You cant use the Winged Dragon of Ra 2)I beat the game in a day. It took roughly the same amount of time to beat the game as it took to read the fifth Harry Potter (for me that's not that long) 3)The rules are loosely based on the game. They have a pokemonesque type system that messes with the game. You can summon a blue-eyes ultimate dragon and if the opponent attacks it with a 1/1 shadow monster it's destroyed 4)The card summonings are also very inaccurate. You can summon a ritual monsters like the Black Luster Soldier without a ritual and you can summon the blue-eyes ultimate dragon by sacrificing 3 creatures instead of fusion. 5)Their are no effect monsters who's effects are correct (i.e. man eater bug has no effect, Slifers attack is 4000+1000x2xthe number of cards in your hand. But overall, this game is worth buying, used only though. its good but not that good (Rating: 0.00) Review : this game is really cool because u are ur own character and u battle a lot of people and u win egyptian god cards but this game is way too short . i got this game and i beat it the day after. and after u beat marik u get all the god cards but then u have to give them all back to his sister. its cool because u duel a lot. its not cool because its waaaay to short!!!!!! Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards; An Addicting Game or Bust? (Rating: 4.00) Review : No. Definitley not a bust. This game puts you right at the beginning of Kaiba's Battle City Tournament where you must gather all six of the Locator Cards before you face off in the tournament of your life. But there are cards to collect and Rare Hunters to battle as you fight your way to the top! You Duel the famous characters from the show, like Kaiba, Yugi, Tristian, and Joey. The actual dueling arena, however, is very simple. It follows most of the basic rules from the actual Customizable Card Game (you get 8000 Life points; can only Summon/Set 5 monsters and 5 Spell/Traps), but the pahses are different. Also, you gain points in order to get more powerful cards in order to win the Tournament. Overall, it's a fun game on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Probably the best yet (Rating: 0.00) Review : Wow this game really exceded my expectations. The problems most listed in other reviews say, it doesnt follow every rule in the actual card game, which is true, but the gameplay makes that up.Its A very good RPG, and nice graphics. You do get sucky cards, but I got through half the game with the same cards you get in the beggining. Its so easy at first, but all of the sudden, it will get tough!!!My only complaints, are the duelist level; and capacity, which makes the game a nice challenge at times.I was addicted to this game (I played it three hours straight)and you can get far pretty easily. If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh fan,you will find this a great game.If you want a real challenge from the beggining, get world tournement 2004(but has no story)I still recommend this one though, but the choice is yours... |
