Review : Are you looking for an axe that is safe, and does good work on small home projects? Well, after using this axe for awhile, I can say that this is the one I shall surely stick with. This futuristic looking axe is definitely for home or recreational use. I liked the overall design of this product, because of how smart each feature is. The actual axe blade is a forged steel that features the integrated wedge design, like you may all have seen somewhere in your life. When you actually take the blade in your hands, you will feel its solidness and construction quality. I also liked the fact that the handle is made of very light weight and strong fiberglass. Also, this axe is all a one piece product and will not separate at all. The one piece handle is molded around the head to prevent separation. An added bonus in this package, which I like, is that you get a handy sheath to keep the axe in as well. If you have tree branches or small pieces of wood to break up, like me, then you need to pick up this small axe for yourself! This tool is definitely ideal for smaller jobs around your home garden or back yard.

Review : This should really be called a hatchet. I bought one primarily to make kindling out of logs that had alread been split up. The edge failed to penetrate the wood well, either because it was too dull or because of the material. The wedge shape was too narrow to split the wood off. I'm going back to my trusty metal hatchet.

Review : I got one of these axes for my dad for Christmas and it was worth every penny. He's getting older but he still has to split wood for his wood stove to heat his house, so I thought it would be a practical gift. He loves it and even I tried, on Christmas day and many times after that. If you split would and are tried of your handles breaking, dull blades, and blistered hands, get this axe.
