It arrived this afternoon and I have to say that while the product does match the description provided, I was pretty disappointed that I spent [money] + shipping for this.

My first impression was that the crock was smaller than I had expected, however even with all of the spatulas in it, there's plenty of room for other kitchen tools. A medium sized wire whisk and a couple of wooden spoons will fit in nicely. The blue crock is a nice dark bluish-grey color. I haven't tested them, but the spatulas have stickers on them claiming heat resistance up to 800 degrees. I can't imagine what anyone would cook that would reach these kinds of temperatures, but I guess it's nice to know that if you accidentally leave the spatula resting on a hot burner it won't melt right way.

From the product description, I was having a hard time justifying the price of this product, but everyone that reviewed them seemed to just adore them, so I thought perhaps the picture and product description were not doing justice and I was simply underestimating these potentially wondrous kitchen tools.

I do a lot of cooking and if I had bought this for myself, I would be sending it back. I feel there are a lot better things to spend [money] on. It seems to me that the entire Le Creuset line is pretty over-priced, so with respect to their other products, it appears this one is par for their course.

The product description tells it all. Once the dust settles, what we have here are 6 rubber spatulas and a colored stoneware crock - nothing more. If this is worth [money] to you, then you will be getting your money's worth.

Review : Had one but needed more. Bought the set and just love the way they work. Sure the handles are made of wood but it don't make them work any less better. I use these for eveything from mixing cold salads to stiring fried foods. Never a dent in the fender or a chip in the paint! A real keeper! Mik

Review : I love the spatulas AND the crock. At first I was wary, I didn't think they would be heatproof. These babies are great to 800 fahrenheit. You can take off the spatula part and throw it in the dishwasher so the wooden handle doesn't need to get washed. Purely amazing.

The variety of spatulas is nice. I like the fact that they give you a slotted one. The spatula-part is dense - its not overly flexible - just flexible enough where you need it. I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect spatula.

The crock has a balanced center of mass. It doesn't tip over easy. Very nice. Color (I have the red ones) is a beautiful red. It goes great in my black & white & maple kitchen.

Worth every penny. I use them daily.

Review : I cook almost every day. A girlfriend gave me two of these spatulas (800 degree proof) over a year ago, and they have been used at least 5 times a week every week since then. I DO remove the heads to toss into the dishwasher. My one-year field test tells me these don't stain, ever, for any reason, and really will not melt no matter what you use them on. And they've not lost the least amount of flexibility in that time (no drying out/cracking like rubber spatulas). I haven't had the head come off, or managed to slice it in the blender (luck?) so as far as I'm concerned this is a perfect product. I have given these out to all my friends/family who cook as part of a My Favorite Things series of gifts I started a couple of years ago, and the feedback has been unanimous. Once you cook with these (and I mean cook - not just scrape) you'll find them indispensible.
