Would not recommend it for durability. "Le Creuset" 1 1/4 quart demi teakettle. (Rating: 2.00) Review : The overall (classical) stylings of this kettle do somewhat resemble it's original french cuinsine genre, but unfortunately the mass manufactured look it takes on now gives it little if any heart at all... "Kmart anyone?" This gorgeous kettle made me fall in love w/Le Creuset!!! (Rating: 5.00) Review : Excellent little kettle for small family! Heats up fast, keeps hot long! Never leaves my stove! My husband, my baby & I drink more tea than ever before! Saw it first on Food Network. Thought, if it's good for famous chefs, it's good for me. Didn't have a problem whatsoever! Now I am gradually replacing all my kitchen with Le Creuset. Why didn't I know about you earlier?!!! For Looks Only (Rating: 1.00) Review : This beautiful little teapot is unfortunately good for looks only! I was so surprised that upon heating this kettle up for the very first time - the bottom burned off! Standing at the sink waiting to make a cup of tea, I heard weird popping noises as paint popped off the kettle all over my stove and counter. There was no actual fire thank goodness. Obviously a design flaw - just surprised a company as fine as Le Creuset made such a big flaw - an unusable tea kettle - well, unuseable if you are thirsty! No more Le Creuset (Rating: 1.00) Review : I was in favor of this company's products until recently, but this kettle changed everything. As others also reported, the problem is chips and rusts, which developed on the surace after a few months. Further, when I returned it to the factory store where I purchased it, I was told that a replacement kettle would be sent to my home shortly. After three weeks, no such item arrived, and it turned out that my name was not even in their record! I am really disgusted with the way they treat us customers. I tried to contact the retail support manager twice to ask for a refund (first by leaving a message in voice mail and then by sending a fax), but our call has not been returned. I now feel that s/he does not give us any response forever. I am writing this because I don't want anyone else to go through the same problem. |
