Where else can you find such a great source of entertainment that provides real fun as well as an education in deductive reasoning?

CLUE offers a solid alternative to a boring night watching TV. And it certainly encourages family discussions as you play it. Now, that's something television doesn't offer!

Our kids are all grown up now, but we still get together frequently over the dining room table to have another CLUE evening.

The only criticism I have of the game is that the pads of detective notes are very hard to replace. I recently went into one local games store and was told they had been trying for two years to get a supply of the CLUE detective notes. Many customers had been apparently asking for them.

My solution was to simply create my own detective notes form on our home computer, using a graphics program.

Seems like we could have a supply-and-demand opportunity here.

Review : As another reviewer quipped, I played it as a child, I play it as an adult. I must admit that I hadn't played this game for a long time, but when my 8-yr old son pulled it out of the game closet at Gma's house we had a great time. My son enjoyed it so much that he asked for a copy for Christmas...and Santa willingly obliged.

We now play "Clue!" regularly. It's a great family game. Now that our children are beyond "Candyland" and "Chutes and Ladders" we are happy to move on to games like this one.

Just in case you've been off planet for the past 30 years or so, here's how the game works:

Up to 6 players roll a dice and move their marker around a board that represents a mansion as they seek out which person in the game was the murderer, what the murder weapon was, and which room the murder was committed in. If you are clever enough maybe you'll be the first one to figure out "who done it!"

A great family game (as long as you don't think about the murder aspect too much), and the game's never the same twice...and if it is you'll never know until it's all over.

"Clue!" is a timeless classic that is destined to be around for a long, long time!

Review : This game was everyone's favorite when I was in elementary school. On rainy days people would call up all their friends and ask them to come over and play Clue. The idea was to collect as many people as possible because more players makes the game harder, longer, and more fun. However, it is still a good game with only two or three people, and having fewer players makes it easier for younger kids and beginners. The game is entertaining and challenging because of the mystery aspect and because logic and strategy as well as luck are required to win. Unlike many board games, you are not restricted to a single path, and you can't tell who is going to win untill the end, so players don't get discouraged because they are "behind". Clue is easy to learn and doesn't require any esoteric strategies, but it remains challenging and fun for adults - I'm in college now and I still enjoy it (although I'm afraid I don't have the chance to play it very often.)

Clue is an indelible, if very minor, pop culture icon that most people who were kids any time in the last 20 years or so will identify with- between the game and the movie, if you say Colonel Mustard did it in the library with the candlestick to someone and they don't catch the reference, you should immediately try to compensate for their deprived childhood by ordering them their own copy of this game.

Review : Clue is the classic game by Parker Brothers. In the game you stuck are in a mansion. The owner Mr.Boddy has been murdered and its up to you to find out who did it.

There are six different playable characters. No character can do something others can't the only differnce in them is there starting locations and there actual names. Your goal is to navigate the mansion finding out clues as to who committed the murder. You have to guess who did it, where the murder was done, and what was is done with. You go by trial and error throughout the house until you gather enough clues to guess it right.

The game itself is pretty durable. You have six token pieces, a six sided die, cards, a standard board, and paper sheets for you clue book. Unless something gets wet you should be set.

The game is educational because it makes you think. You have to keep track of your clues that you collect. You can also pick up other clues by paying attention to other peoples clues and who is proving them wrong. You can be quite savvy in the game and this part is quite educational and fun.

Clue is a classic game. People have been playing it for over 50 years. It's the classic game of who did it and it's a fun mystery. No game is ever the same and that makes it even more fun. No kid or adult should ever go there life without playing this game. So go get Clue and find out who did it.

Review : This game is extremely fun. It is good for all ages. I personally love mystery games like this but I'm sure that everyone will like this game. For younger ages there is a clue junior. I recommend this for all!

Review : It's not that I haven't had fun playing this game, it's just that it really isn't fun without the right number of people playing. There is too much dependance on getting lucky and if the skill level between playes is too great, it's a cake walk for the more logical thinkers.

I also don't think this is the kind of game you can keep playing over and over like scrabble, boggle, or any number of card games that all have a lot more variance in play.

I'm not totally knocking "Clue", but it's one of those games that gets tiring after a few times of playing it.
